Gravitational Scattering in the ADD-model Revisited
نویسنده
چکیده
The effects of the condition that the standard model particles live on a thin brane in the ADD-model is investigated. This is shown to result in a cut-off independent Kaluza–Klein propagator for large distance scattering and an odd number of extra dimensions. The matrix element corresponding to this propagator can also be Fourier transformed to position space, giving back the extra-dimensional version of Newton’s law. For an even number of extra dimensions the corresponding propagator is found by requiring that Newton’s law should be recovered.

Gravitational Scattering in the ADD-model at High and Low Energies
Gravitational scattering in the ADD-model is considered at both suband transplanckian energies using a common formalism. By keeping a physical cut-off in the KK tower associated with virtual KK exchange, such as the cut-off implied from a finite brane width, troublesome divergences are removed from the calculations in both energy ranges. The scattering behavior depends on three different energy...
متن کاملClassical and Non-Classical ADD-phenomenology with high-E⊥ jet observables at collider experiments
We use the results from a recent investigation of hard parton–parton gravitational scattering in the ADD scenario to make semi-quantitative predictions for a few standard high-E⊥ jet observables at the LHC. By implementing these gravitational scattering results in the PYTHIA event generator and combining it with the CHARYBDIS generator for black holes, we investigate the effects of large extra ...

This paper discusses the gravitational scattering of a straight, infinitely long test cosmic string by a black hole. We present numerical results that probe the two-dimensional parameter space of impact parameter and initial velocity and compare them to approximate perturbative solutions derived previously. We analyze string scattering and loop formation in the ultra-relativistic regime and com...

متن کاملHigh level Ab inito bench mark computaions on weak interactions (H2)2 dimer revisited
The Potential Energy Surface PES of (H2)2 dimer has been investigated, using five simple rigid rotor models. These models are called: head to head, symmetric side to side, L , steplike and T model. All calculations were done at two levels of ab initio methods: MP2(Full) and QCISD (T,Full) using cc-pVTZ basis set at singlet state of spin multiplicity. The results of scanning PES were then fitte...
